Dan Beard District Cub Day CampThe 2003 Cub Scout Day Camp was enjoyed by all Scouts and Scouters in attendance with approximately 225 Cub Scouts attending both weeks. Alot of time and effort was put in by our wonderful staff of Red Shirts to make it happen. The N.C. State Fairgrounds proved to be a great site for camp and we look forward to furture years of Day Camps there.
Below you will find a document that contains the Cub Scout Rank Advancements (Skill Award requirements) that could be completed during both weeks of Day Camp. Each Pack is responsible for reviewing this list in order to provide the proper advancements for their Cub Scouts that were in attendance at camp.
Week 1 of the Dan Beard District 2003 Cub Day Camp was held June 16-20, 2003 at the Harrill Youth Center at the NC State Fairgrounds with approximately 150 Cub Scouts attending. The Camp Director was Steve Ennis and the Program Director was Robin Biegert.
Week 2 was held June 30 - July 4, 2003 at the Raleigh Elks Club, on the corner of Leadmine and Millbrook Roads in Raleigh with about 76 Cub Scouts attending. The Camp Director was Shiela Bullock and the Program Director was Robin Biegert.
Thirty-four (34) families on the combined weeks camped out on Thursday night for the Webelos overnighter.
