Combined District Training

Training for Cub, Scout and Venture Adult Leaders

Lu Little is the Crosswinds District Training Chairperson.

Training Courses that are scheduled for our Occoneechee Council can be seen on the Occoneechee Council Training Calendar.

Starting in November of 2003, training for ALL Scouting branches was placed under a "District Training Chairperson". This Training Chairperson is now responsible for planning and scheduling the training classes for training the adult leaders in the Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity Scout and Venturing Scout branches of Scouting.

A District Training Committee, under the direction of the District Training Chairperson, may be formed to determine who needs training; build an annual training program; develop plans for specific courses; provide training recognition; evaluate training and promote Fast Start training.

The District Training Committee will also assist in planning and scheduling of the "special" training courses held at or after Roundtables and as part of Crosswinds District special events.

The District Training Chairperson will coordinate with the other Training Chairpersons in the Northern Service Area Training Team to insure we have adequate courses scheduled throughout the year to keep our adult leaders trained.

If you have taken a course, then you are qualified to teach that course. If you wish to participate as part of the Crosswinds District Training Team, please contact the District Training Chairperson listed at the top of this page.
