1. Invocation by Stan Belyeu.
2. Our abbreviated December Committee Meeting was held at the home of Becky
and W.E. Medlin. The Committee wants to thank them for being our gracious
hosts and supplying the drinks and a lot of the food! It was a great
Christmas Party and this year we had quite a few spouses in attendance!
3. Boy Scout Program:
Advancement - Ed Williams: Ed passed around a report on the council
advancement information available for Scout Troops.
Eagle Board - Rudy Hines: November had 8 projects, 4 were not approved and
4 were approved and 9 finals, all approved. December, so far, has 4
projects and 2 finals scheduled. Rudy thanks those who helped last month.
Training - John Slocumb: The Tri-District SMF for the 2000 spring session
has been scheduled for April 6-8, 2001 at Camp Durant. The Scoutmaster will
be Kevin Carpenter from the Impeesa District. His e-mail address is

4. Cub Program:
Cub Family Campout - Jenny Elwell: Jenny reported that the Cub Packs must
pre-register for the Cub Family Campout scheduled for March 16-18 at Camp
McNeil (at Camp Bowers). Website registration forms, etc., will be coming
within the next month or so.
5. Membership - Rodger Skirvin: We are currently at 2865 Scouts in our district
and have 2 new units joining up; Crew 331 from Garner and Crew 200 from
Cary. That gives us 85 units; 36 Packs, 39 Troops and 10 Crews.
6. Finance - Rodger Skirvin: We have passed our $70,000 goal.
Popcorn Sale - Marvin Tharp: Marv wants to thank all of the units and the
Scouts for a great popcorn sale.
7. Activities and Civic Service - Dusty Fletcher: Dusty thanked everyone for
their help at the Annual Recognition Event on November 16. We ended up
awarding 31 DLC's (instead of the 27 reported last month).
She also said that Chuck Short has reported that the Mall Expo is on
schedule and that the information on the Mall Expo will be mailed out soon.
8. Congratulations are in order for our District's 2 newest Silver Beaver
Recipients; Richard Fletcher and W.E. Medlin.
9. W.E. thanked everyone for attending and bringing all the good food.

Next District Committee Meeting: January 19, 2001 in Fuquay-Varina
Our Annual District Planning Retreat will be held at the Becky Medlin Realty
Buiding on Judd Parkway NE in Fuquay-Varina on January 19-20, 2001, starting
at 7 pm Friday evening. It was decided that we will NOT have a District
Committee Meeting on January 3, 2001. We will hold that meeting January 19
as part of the Annual District Planning Retreat. All District Committee
members and Sub-Committee members should plan on attending. PLEASE PUT
THE DATES ON YOUR CALENDARS.
