2. January minutes approved.
3. District Commissioner - Steve Stewart for Ron Werley: All but 2 of our
unit's charters have been delivered to the Sponsoring Organizations.
4. Boy Scout Program:
Advancement - Ed Williams: No report.
Eagle Board - Rudy Hines: January had 4 projects, 3 were not approved and
1 was approved and 2 finals, all approved. February, so far, has 6
projects and 8 finals scheduled. Rudy needs help this month, please!
Training - John Slocumb: The Tri-District SMF held their first staff
meeting and Tom Doligalski will be the SPL. The Scoutmaster will
be Kevin Carpenter from the Impeesa District. His e-mail address is
KCarpen859@aol.com. The SMF registration form will be on our web page.
High Adventure - Steve Stewart: Venturing Day planning, which will be
for Venture units during our District Spring Camporee, is on schedule.

5. Cub Program - Linda Boggs:
Cub Day Camp - Linda Boggs: They are still looking for a 2nd Director for
Cub Day Camp. If you are interested, contact Linda or Jewel Ward.
Cub Training - Gary Thorn: Gary has put on the calendar the following
Tri-District Cub Basic Leader Training Courses;
March 24 - Host: Impeesa
May 19 - Host: Dan Beard
September 15 - Host: Impeesa
They are trying to schedule at least 3 other dates this year for Cub BLT.
Gary has created a New Cub Scout Leader Training Opportunities handout for
new Cub leaders. It is available from gthorn@netzero.net and will be put
on our web page when it is complete.
Cub Advancement - Judy Ward: January showed 6 Packs with advancement, with
71 Bobcats, 4 Wolves, 4 Bears and 2 Webelos.
Cub Family Campout - Linda Boggs for Jenny Elwell: Linda reported that they
will require 2 or 3 adults from each Pack to help run the activities. They
also would like to have 16 oz. or 20 oz. plastic pop bottles for one of the
campout events. The campout registration form, information and a map are on
our District Web Page. There is also a Family Campout web page at:

6. Membership - Marvin Tharp: Rhonda Chesson, our Round-Up Chairlady, is
going to send out a survey to the District Units asking for their input on
conducting the 2001 Spring and Fall Round-Ups.
Marvin said that we definitely need to concentrate on getting more Webelos
and Venture Scouts in 2001. He said his committee was also going to focus
on helping existing units get more Scouts, if they need them. His group
has targeted a total of 3000 Scouts (about a 3% growth) for this year.
7. Finance - Rodger Skirvin: We are currently at $11,872 of our Family
Campaign (about 17%). If your unit has not had an FOS presentation yet,
contact John Slocumb or Rodger Skirvin.
8. Activities and Civic Service - Dusty Fletcher: Our registration for the
2001 Mall Expo on March 3rd, is way below what it has been in the past.
UNITS NEED TO SIGN UP at the Council Office by February 16. Pack 218 has
devised some interesting things for the Pinewood Derby and registration
for the Pinewood Derby is to be done on the Mall Expo Registration form.
Dusty did a "roll call" to identify the people that are on our e-mail list
server. She got 61 replies, out of about 100 people that are registered
on the listbot. 18 Packs, 17 troops and 2 Venture crews have unit leaders
registered on the listbot. Dusty will post on the listbot the unit numbers
that have leaders registered on the listbot. To subscribe to our listbot

Activity is normally less than 5 messages a day and there are many subjects
about our District and unit activities that are posted there.
9. New Business - W.E. Medlin will send the list of questions for the Council,
compiled at our planning retreat, to the Council and ask the Council Key-3
the Council President, Council Scout Executive and Council Commissioner,
to come to one of our committee meetings to address the questions.
District Committee Members of the Month: Roger Lear for his secretarial
work at the District Planning Retreat and the District Web Page updates
and W.E. Medlin for providing the facilities and snacks for the retreat.
