December minutes were approved as written.

District Commissioner - David Hearne: We now have 79 units and are again qualified to be a Quality District, thanks to Bob Ratledge, Stan Belyeu and our DE. T212 and P15 are November re-registers; T212 has re-registered and P15 may be in. P218 is an April registration and all the other units are March re-registrations. Re-charter packages will go out at the January Round Table.

Boy Scout Program Reports - Don Schmidt:

Camporee - Jim McGraw: Jim is going to be the camporee chief for the 2000 Dan Beard District Spring Camporee. First aid, rescue and that type of activity will be the theme of the camporee. If your unit wants to help you should contact Jim McGraw or Don Schmidt.

Camping - No report.

Advancement - Ed Williams: Eagle bolos from the council Eagle dinner still need to be delivered to units. Ed will take them to the next 2 Roundtables and then he will return the bolos to the council.

Eagle Board - Steve Stewart: Need some more people to be active on the Eagle Board. Contact Steve or Rudy Hines if you can help.

Training - No report.

Cub Program Reports - Lisa White: Lisa is still trying to find a Cub Camporee Chief and a Webelos Overnighter event coordinator. If you want to help call Lisa White.

Advancement - Judy Ward: In December 10 out of 36 units advanced with 6 Bobcats, 26 Wolves, 25 Bears, 15 Webelos and 7 Arrow of Lights.

Training - Kathy Connelly: No Cub BLT in January. Kathy will try to put a 2 evening training session together for March 6 and March 13.

Cub Day Camp - Lisa White: The 3 page 2000 Cub Day Camp brochure will be distributed at the January Roundtable. Cub Day Camp is scheduled for the last week of June & the 1st week of July.

Order of the Arrow - No report.

Health & Safety - No report.

Membership - Stan Belyeu: Last month we managed to sign up P234, sponsored by the Disciple UM church of Apex. The pack is going to have a second roundup on 1/18 to try to get more Cubs. Karl Thiele is the UC for the new pack. We also signed up Venturing Crews for T10, T131 and T307 and a new Troop 321 at Holly Springs School.

Activities and Civic Service - Dusty Fletcher: Dusty passed out flyers at the December Roundtable on Scouting for Food, Scout Sunday and the Mall Expo. The OA has agreed to handle the Scouting for Food and Dusty and Venture Crew 397 have agreed to handle the Mall Expo. Troop 165 has agreed to handle the Pinewood Derby. The rules for the Derby can be found at www.geocities.com/heartland/ 9165/District_Derby/district_derby.html. If you have questions about any of the 3 subjects you can contact Dusty at unctarheel77@ att.net or call her at 387-9205. Scouting for Food is February 5th (flyer distribution) and February 12th (food collection). Scout Sunday is February 6th for everyone except the Methodists who celebrate it one week later (Feb. 13th).

Finance - No report.

Other Business: Judy Ward and Ron Werley have been elected to receive the Silver Beaver Award. Congratulations to our 2 newest Silver Beavers! The awards ceremony is planned for March 4, 2000.

Committee Member of the Month: Stan Belyeu for his work in getting the new units necessary for us to be a Quality District in 1999.
