Electronic/Computerized Re-Chartering Information

This information was supplied by one of our past District Commissioners, Ron Werley.

Our current District Commissioner is Jerry Jester.

           Electronic chartering this year.

Below is the process to recharter this year electronically.

1. Your unit must have the Scoutmaster or Packmaster software that you use for the unit.
There are 4 software programs that will work with Scoutnet 2000 to be
able to charter using a diskette to input unit data.
    a. Scoutmaster or Packmaster
    b. Scoutmate
    c. Scoutsoft
    d. Rank N File (I am not sure how this is spelled on the program label)
2. You can go into this program using your system and do recharter,
and then save this to diskette.
3. You must complete all of the paper work in your recharter packet,
except the details of youth and adults.  You must still get the charter
signed on the first page and turn this in with the rest of the packet as normal.
4. When the charter is turned into the Scout office, they will read the data from
the saved to diskette files that you created on your system and write on the charter
paper work that the diskette was read in at charter time..
5. The Scout office keeps this paper work and then if  later there appears to
be an error, everyone will know that the charter was inputted from your
    diskette.
6. However, this will be your chance to make sure that all data for your unit
has been updated as you wanted.

If you recharter electronically or not, please recharter on time.
The Commissioner staff is there to help you if you need them
and are ready to receive, check, and sign Quality and charter
forms at any time.  We will be at the February and March
roundtables to serve you.
