District Chairman District Commissioner District Executive

Attendees: Keith Biegert, Bob Gamble, Jerry Jester, Roger Lear, Lu Little,
Susan Long, Monte McCaw, Anne McVeigh, Bill Reynolds, Suzie Slopek,
Robbie Spivey and Chris Thomson (12).

1. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Robbie Spivey.

2. There were very few minutes for February 2006 as we held the Committee
yearly planning meeting on February 11, 2006 from 8am to 1pm and those
few minutes have not been written up yet (coming soon).

3. Order of the Arrow - Monte McCaw: Netami Chapter wants to emphasize OA
Webelos Day. (Lear had put out a note on the e-mail list server informing
everyone of the OA Webelos Day). One of their major goals is to increase
their membership. They will meet at 6 pm on Roundtable nights from now on.
He will contact Rudy and Jerry about a room to meet in for March and April
Roundtables as we are meeting in a different location for those Roundtables.
Our OA Chapter will help our District by counciling our Troops and Scouts in
   the Trail-to-Eagle.

4. Commissioner Service - Susan Long; We have 9 District units that have not
yet signed up for rechartering. Susan wants those units to contact her
immediately. Unit Commissioners have committed to work at both the
Cub-O-Ree and the Boy Scout Camporee. Council wide Commissioner Training
will be on March 25, 2006. There is no charge and lunch is provided. A
place is yet to be determined. We will let all our units and our Committee
know that we will be meeting at different locations for our March and April
   Roundtables.

Roundtable - Jerry Jester: We will have hot dogs and hamburgs at the March
   and April Roundtables.

5. Activities & Civic Service - Chris Thomson:	She will talk to Martin if they
need money for anything. She would like to do a display of types of events
that we are going to have in order to advertise Scouting (similar to our old
   Mall Expositions).

6. Membership/Relationships - Bill Reynolds: Someone from membership was
at our District Pinewood Derby to recruit for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
They are compiling a list of unit people who can be contacted if a youth
wants to join Scouting. They are still planning a Tiger fun-day on June 10,
   2006.

7. Finance - Jerry Jester: About $42,000 has been committed so far towards our
$79,250 goal. He has hopes that at our March 14 FOS Breakfast that we will
get numerous $250 donations just so the donees can get the Norman Rockwell
coin that the Council is making available to givers of $250 or more.

8. Cub Family Campout - Rudy Rowell (via e-mail): Rudy is worried that no Cub
units have signed up for the Cub-O-Ree and the price goes up on March 25.
He asked Lear to put out a reminder on the list server (and that was done).

9. Boy Scout Program:

Eagle Board of Review - Tom Allen(via e-mail): The February EBOR approved 6
Eagle Ranks and approved 8 projects and rejected 2 projects.

10. Training - Suzie Slopek: There are numerous training activities happening
in March, April and May of this year. Most of the courses have fliers on
    the Council website Training page.

11. Scouting for Food - Cindy Smith: Our District will participate in Scouting
for Food on April 8 this year along with the rest of the Council. Ten of
our units have signed up so far. Cindy is using the unit's Luminaria
routes to cover our area. If your unit is going to participate you MUST
contact Cindy. The food will be turned in on April 8th at the same
location as we used last year, the closed Pizza Hut parking lot on Kildare
