1. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Robbie Spivey.
2. The minutes for May 2007 were approved as written.
3. Membership/Relationships - Bill Reynolds: The Wake Co. Cub Scout Fall
Roundup kickoff had 13 Crosswinds Packs attending and a total of about 130
people.
4. Training - Lu Little: NLE, Youth Protection and SM Specific courses are
being planned for August 25 at Cary Presbyterian Church.
5. Commissioner Service - Jerry Jester: Unit inventories have been started
and Jerry will report the results at the August RoundTable.
Round Table ADC - Jerry Jester for Gary Thorn: The June RT will be held
at Cary First Baptist Church in the dining hall on the first floor.
The August RoundTable will feature our annual RT Kickoff meal. It will be
held at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (our normal location). We
are planning on serving hot dogs and hamburghers, chips, etc.. The District
Committee members and the Unit Commissioners will be expected to bring a
dessert of some type, preferably one that does not require forks or spoons.
Our November RT will not be held at St. Andrew. We are looking for a place.
NOTE: Remember there is NO ROUNDTABLE or Committee Meeting in July!
6. Finance - Martin Banning: Next Thursday (June 14), the victory celebration
for the FOS will be held at the NC Museum of Natual History, to recognize
the volunteers for their work on the 2007 FOS. Major Gifts are at $51,547
($52K goal); Community Campaign is at $1,381 (goal was $5.5K); Family
Campaign at $92,801 ($84K goal). Overall we stand at $145,729 for a goal
of $141,500, which puts us about $4K over our goal. Great job to all!
Our District is looking for a Capital Campaign Chairperson for the 2007
Campaign for Camp Durant/Reeves. Our District's gaol is $100,000.
7. Eagle Board of Review - Gantt Edmiston (via e-mail): The May EBOR approved
6 Eagle Ranks and reviewed 4 projects (3 projects approved, 1 rejected).
8. 2007 JOTA - Ed Walsh for Chris Tompson: Ed has gotten the ok to use the
lower parking lot at St. Andrew for the October 20, 2007 JOTA activity.
9. Order of the Arrow - Bob Gamble: Our chapter of the OA was recognized by
the Spring Camporee Staff for their work, participation and leadership at
the Spring Camporee.
Committee Member of the Month: Bill Reynolds for his outstanding work on the
District and Council Membership Committees.
