1. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Robbie Spivey.

2. Crosswinds District minutes for June 2004 were approved as written.

3. Membership/Relationships - Martin Banning & Mark Christy: Cub Roundup
kickoff will be held at the 8/12 RT. On 8/19 & 8/24 the Roundup will be held
at 10 different unit locations and 12 units will hold a popcorn &
marshmellow roast at the Kiwanis Shelter at Bond Park. We are trying to sign
up 350 new Cub Scouts. Last year the Dan Beard District got 600+ new Cubs.

4. Religious Awards - Chris Siegl: The Council Religious Emblems Awards
Banquet on June 19 had a full house of Scouts and Scouters.

5. Commissioner's Report - Susan Long: Unit inventories were done by the end
of June. The units are doing a great job of getting new Scouts registered
as Susan and her UC's found only 5 Scouts that had not been registered.
P208 and P313 need Cub Scouts and hopefully they will get some at Roundup.
T393 is a new unit sponsored by Triangle Community Church in Morrisville.
P393 meets on Tues. nights at Perimiter Park at 7pm. Susan still needs UCs.
   NOTE:
Webelos Scouts must now wear the Boy Scout uniform as soon as they earn the
Webelos Badge. Tigers must now wear the Cub Scout uniform.

Roundtable ADC - Gary Thorn: August RT is one week early, so list server and
web notices have and will go out to our district. Jerry will handle the
program and Rudy Rowell will help with the Cub Roundup portion of the RT.
Bob Gamble and Jim McGraw will do the Health and Safety class for Scouters.

Boy Scout Roundtable - Jerry Jester: Starting at the August RT units will
get a "star" on an attendance chart. The unit with the most RT meetings
   attended will be recognized yearly.

Cub Scout Roundtable - Rudy Rowell: Rudy reported by e-mail that he is
prepared to help with the Cub Roundup Kickoff at the Aug. 12 RT.

6. Finance - Martin Banning: Our target for 2005 is $96,000. Family $60K,
Major Gifts $33K and Community Campaign $3K. The Finance District Steering
Committee needs members. If you know of anyone, give Martin the name.

Popcorn - Cindy Smith: Our District Popcorn Kickoff will be held August 17,
at 7pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cary. Last day to order pop-
corn for the Show-aNd-Sell or the Show-N-Deliver is August 31st. The popcorn
sale starts on September 18 and ends October 22, 2004. Orders will be
called in to the District Kernel on October 23 & 24 and then the orders will
be combined and called in to the Council. So far we have 24 Packs & Troops
signed up to sell. We are shooting for at least 31 units.

7. Activities & Civic Service - Open Position - Cindy Smith has agreed to take
the job of organizing Scouting for Food in 2005. Thanks, Cindy! We still
need someone to step up to take the A&CS job to oversee all our activities.
Someone out there ought to be able to spare an hour a week - giggle, giggle.

8. Cub Scout Program - Still an open position.

Advancement - Pam Sen: Pam presented the Cub Advancement figures for Jan. to
June of 2004. It shows a total of 846 advancements for our 21 Packs. Pam
said that the report was probably not complete due to missing reports.

Cub Day Camp - Cub Day Camp had great attendance for all 3 weeks. We are
hoping to get a report on it later. Martin Banning stated that the 2005
Cub Day Camp was in the planning stages already.

Cub Family Campout for 2005 - Chris Siegl: Chris has agreed to take on this
job. He is recruiting a committee to do the planning. Thank you, Chris!

9. Boy Scout Program:

Advancement - Tom Doligalski: Tom reported by e-mail that he had received 6
months worth of advancement information from the Scout Office. He reported
that over 40% of our Troops are not showing significant advancement. We are
hoping that it is due to reports not being made or being lost at the office.

Eagle Board of Review - Tom Allen: Tom reported via e-mail that in July
there were 6 projects reviewed; 3 were accepted, 2 were held in suspension
   and 1 was rejected.

2005 Camporee - Jerry Jester: The 2005 Camporee Staff is still in the
planning stages. If you want to help, contact Jerry Jester.
It was mentioned that Camp Durant will be open for Summer Camp in 2005.

10. Order of the Arrow - Tom Doligalski: The Fall Fellowship is scheduled for
    September 17-19.

11. Venturing - Chris Siegl: The Venturing Vortex is scheduled for September
24-26. The Vortex flyer is on the District web site under the site map
entry of Venture/High Adventure. Chris needs help on Kiacking, if you
    can do that contact Chris.

12. Health & Safety - Jim McGraw: Bob Gamble and Jim McGraw will do the H&S
presentation at the August 12 RT.

13. Training - Brian Garrett: No report.
