The Crosswinds District's 31 participating units sold $340,491 worth of popcorn which earned a commission of $102,147.30 for the 15 Packs, 15 Troops and 1 Crew that participated in the 2008 Popcorn Sale. Our units also had an internet sales figure of $8000.00, for a total 2008 Popcorn Sale of $348,491.
2008 Popcorn Sale Figures and Facts Crosswinds District Popcorn Kernel Beckie Dayton THAT IS THE HIGHEST DOLLAR AMOUNT OF POPCORN SALES THAT OUR CROSSWINDS DISTRICT HAS EVER HAD.
Our 15 Packs sold $243,145 of popcorn, more than 71% of our total sales. Great job Cub Packs!
The top selling Packs were Pack 200 with $44,204 in sales, Pack 224 with $23,755 in sales, Pack 316 with $23,185 in sales and Pack 216 with $22,242 in sales.
Our 15 Troops and 1 Crew sold $97,346 of popcorn, which was 29% of our sales.
Our top selling Troops were Troop 213 with $24,945 in sales, Troop 212 with $12,060 in sales, Troop 200 with $12,019 in sales and Troop 209 with $7,990 in sales. Good work Troops!
All but one of our units participated in the Take Order popcorn sale and they sold $158,453 worth of popcorn.
14 Packs, 11 Troops and 1 Crew participated in the Show-N-Sell popcorn sale and they sold $182,038 worth of popcorn.
This is the second time that our District had more sales in Show-N-Sell than it had it Take Order sales ($23,585 more than all of the Take Order sales). This indicates that we may need to put more effort into Show-N-Sell.
Crosswinds had 1 unit (P200) that sold more than $40,000 worth of popcorn, 5 units (P216, P224, P226, P316 and T213) that sold more than $20,000 worth of popcorn and 7 units (P218, P232, P244, P312, P393, T200 and T212 that sold more than $10,000 worth of popcorn. Really great results!
Our District's top salesman for the year was Joshua A. of P244 who sold $2,708 worth of popcorn.
Crosswinds District had 9 Cub Scouts and 8 Boy Scout who sold more than $1500 worth of popcorn.
Occoneechee Council's 300+ units sold a total of $2,177,840 worth of popcorn in 2008.
Our Crosswinds District again sold almost 16% of the total popcorn sold by all 13 of the Districts in our Council and put us back in first place for 2008 total popcorn sales.
This does not count our Distict's $7,870 in On-Line (internet) popcorn sales to 209 customers, which out of the Council's On-Line sales total of $56,975 we were the third highest in the Councils's On-Line sales.
Hemlock District came in at 3rd place with a total sales of $284,402, which when combined with Crosswinds accounted for about 29% of the total Occoneechee Council popcorn sale.
Beckie Dayton, our 2008 District Popcorn Kernel (for her fourth year in a row), hopes that she can get our 2009 District sales even higher, but with the economy being what it is, we will need all of our units to work hard to do that.

The top selling Packs were Pack 200 with $36,456 in sales, Pack 312 with $24,931 in sales, Pack 216 with $23,614 in sales and Pack 224 with $22,838 in sales.
Our 10 Troops and 1 Crew sold $64,906 of popcorn.
Our top selling Troops were Troop 213 with $17,949 in sales, Troop 209 with $12,122 in sales, Troop and Crew 200 with $11,709 in sales and Troop 212 with $6,625 in sales. Good work Troops!
All of our Packs and Troops participated in the Take Order popcorn sale and they sold $156,410 worth of popcorn.
13 Packs and 6 Troops participated in the Show-N-Sell popcorn sale and they sold $146,594 worth of popcorn (only $9,814 less than the Take Order sales).
Crosswinds had 1 unit (P200) that sold more than $30,000 worth of popcorn, 3 units (P312, P216 and P224) that sold more than $20,000 worth of popcorn and 11 units (P316, P226, P218, P120, P393, P201, P232, P244, T213, T209 and T/C200) that sold more than $10,000 worth of popcorn. Really great results!
Our District's top salesman for the year was Dylan L. of P312 who sold $2,624 worth of popcorn.
Crosswinds District had 5 Cub Scouts and 1 Boy Scout who sold more than $1500 worth of popcorn.
Occoneechee Council's 309 units sold a total of $1,943,153 worth of popcorn.
Our Crosswinds District sold almost 16% of the total popcorn sold by all 13 of the districts in our council. The Neuse River District sold $311,283 worth of popcorn, which put us in second place for the first time since our Crosswinds District came into being. Hemlock District came in at 3rd place with a total sales of $239,081. These 3 Districts accounted for 43% of the total Occoneechee Council popcorn sale.
For the first time in our District's history we had a decrease of $9,660 in sales when compared to the 2006 Popcorn sales. That is only the 2nd time that we have had a decrease in popcorn sales since we started selling popcorn in 1985.
Beckie Dayton, our 2007 District Popcorn Kernel (for her third year in a row), has said again that she is going to do her best to better our sales in 2008, but she needs your help to do it!

2006 Popcorn Sale Figures and Facts Crosswinds District Popcorn Kernel Beckie Dayton The top selling Packs for 2006 were Pack 200 with $37,058 in sales, Pack 312 with $26,286 in sales and Pack 224 with $24,140 in sales. Our 18 Packs sold $247,523 of popcorn, more than 79% of our total sales. Great job Cub Packs!
Our 10 Troops & 1 Crew did much better this year, selling $65,141 of popcorn. Our top selling Troop was Troop 209 with $15,554 in sales, Troop 213 with $14,644 in sales and Troop & Crew 200 with $11,596 in sales. Good work Troops!
Our District had 17 Packs and 6 Troops that participated in the Show-N-Sell popcorn sale and they sold $156,588 worth of popcorn.
For the first time our participating units sold more popcorn in the Show-N-Sell Popcorn Sale than was sold in the Take Order Popcorn Sale. That infers that we should emphasize the Show-N-Sell sales even more!
Most of our selling Packs and Troops participated in the Take Order popcorn sale and they sold $156,076 worth of popcorn.
Crosswinds had 1 unit (P200) that sold more than $37,000 worth of popcorn, 4 units (P216, P218, P224 and P312) that sold more than $20,000 worth of popcorn and 8 units (P120, P305, P226, P316, P393, T200, T209 & T213) that sold more than $10,000 worth of popcorn. What an outstanding job!
Our District's top salesman for the year was Mason C. of P120 who sold $2,671 worth of popcorn.
Crosswinds District had 6 Scouts (we had 6 Scouts in 2005 also) selling more than $2000 worth of popcorn and 6 Scouts selling more than $1500 worth of popcorn.
Our Occoneechee Council units sold a total of $1,944,104 worth of popcorn.
Our Crosswinds District sold 16% of the total popcorn sold by all 13 of the districts in our council and we increased sales by $30,350 (10%) over our 2005 Popcorn Sale.
The next closest District in sales was Neuse River with $294,548
Beckie Dayton, our 2006 District Popcorn Kernel, has said again that she is going to do her best to better our sales in 2007. With your help she did it in 2006. Help her do it again in 2007!

The Crosswinds District's 28 participating units sold $291,314 worth of popcorn which earned a commission of $87,394.20 for the 17 Packs and 10 Troops.
2005 Popcorn Sale Figures and Facts Crosswinds District Popcorn Kernel Beckie Dayton The top selling Packs for 2005 were Pack 200 with $32,034 in sales, Pack 312 with $24,112 in sales and Pack 218 with $22,290 in sales. Our Troops did well this year, selling $55,240 worth of popcorn. Our top selling Troop was Troop 213 with $11,026 in sales, Troop 209 with $11,006 in sales and Troop 200 with $9,336 in sales. Good work Troops!
Our District had 14 Packs and 6 Troops that participated in the Show-N-Sell popcorn sale and they sold $120,202 worth of popcorn.
All of our selling Packs and Troops participated in the Take Order popcorn sale and they sold $171,112 worth of popcorn.
Our District's top salesmen for the year was Colin L. of Pack 312. who sold $2,358 worth of popcorn.
Crosswinds District had 6 Scouts (we had 8 Scouts in 2004) selling more than $2000 worth of popcorn and 10 Scouts selling more than $1500 worth of popcorn.
Our Occoneechee Council units sold a total of $1,868,842 worth of popcorn.
Our Crosswinds District sold 15.6% of the total popcorn sold by all 13 of the districts in our council and we increased 12.1% over our 2004 popcorn sale.

This was our new Crosswind's District first year of selling popcorn after the Council split our Dan Beard District into the Crosswinds and Hemlock Districts.
2004 Popcorn Sale Figures and Facts Crosswinds District Popcorn Kernel Cindy Smith The Crosswinds District's 22 participating units sold $259,826.00 worth of popcorn which earned a commission of $77,947.80 for the 12 Packs and 10 Troops.
The top selling Packs for 2004 were Pack 200 with $31,390 in sales, Pack 218 with $23,395 in sales and Pack 316 with $22,762 in sales. Our 12 Packs sold $203,268.00 of popcorn, more than 78% of our total sales. Great job Cubs!
Our Troops did well this year, selling $56,558 worth of popcorn. Our top selling Troop was Troop 213 with $10,276 in sales, Troop 200 with $10,166 in sales and Troop 209 with $10,094 in sales.
Our District had 9 Packs and 6 Troops that participated in the Show-N-Sell popcorn sale and they sold $89,170 worth of popcorn.
All 12 of our Packs and 9 Troops participated in the Take Order popcorn sale and they sold $170,656 worth of popcorn.
Our District's top salesmen for the year was Hunter S. who sold $2,565 worth of popcorn.
Crosswinds District had 8 Scouts (we had 4 Scouts in 2003) selling more than $2000 worth of popcorn and 29 Scouts (we had 32 Scouts in 2003) selling more than $1000 worth of popcorn.
Our Occoneechee Council units sold a total of $1,825,104 worth of popcorn.
Our District, sold 14.2% of the total popcorn sold by all 13 of the districts in our council and we increased 14.8% over our 2003 popcorn sale.
This year, with the split in our district, we still have a winning team in the Crosswinds and Hemlock Districts. The total sales of popcorn for our two new Districts was $458,721, which is more than 25.1% of the total popcorn sold in the Council and almost double what any of the other 11 districts sold.

The Dan Beard District's 48 participating units sold $423,391.00 worth of popcorn. That was a decrease in total sales of almost $2,000 and was the first decrease in sales our District has had since 1988, the only other time it had happened in our District. However, with the economics of our area in question, the District units did an outstanding job for 2003.
2003 Popcorn Sale Figures and Facts Dan Beard District Popcorn Kernels Cindy Smith and Debbie Phillips The top selling Packs for 2003 were Pack 216 with $25,912 in sales, Pack 200 with $25,498 in sales and Pack 218 with $25,120 in sales. It was the first time ever that we have had 3 Packs selling over the $25,000 mark. Those 3 Packs sold more popcorn than all of our Troops and Crews combined. Great job Cubs!
Our Troops did well this year, selling almost $60,000 worth of popcorn. Our top selling Troop was Troop 202 with $10,508 in sales, Troop 200 with $9,128 in sales and Troop 397 with $7,736 in sales.
Our District had 18 Packs and 10 Troops which participated in the Show-N-Sell popcorn sale and they sold more than $123,000 worth of popcorn, an increase of $12,000 over last year.
Our District's top salesmen for the year was Duncan H. of Pack 320 who sold $2,620 worth of popcorn and Ricky M. of Troop 397 who sold $2,611 worth of popcorn.
Dan Beard District had 4 Scouts (we had 12 Scouts in 2002) selling more than $2000 worth of popcorn and 32 Scouts (we had 40 Scouts in 2002) selling more than $1000 worth of popcorn, more than any of the other 10 districts in the Occoneechee Council.
Our Occoneechee Council units sold a total of $1,703,391 worth of popcorn.
Our District, sold 24.9% of the total popcorn sold by all 11 of the districts in our council. That was an increase of .1% over last year's sale.
Next year, with the split in our district, we won't be able to reach the figures of the past, but we can still try to have Crosswinds and Hemlock District lead the Council in popcorn sales.

The Dan Beard District's 47 participating units sold $425,068.00 worth of popcorn, an increase of more than $57,000.00 (15.5%) over the 2001 sale.
2002 Popcorn Sale Figures and Facts Dan Beard District Popcorn Kernel Dusty Fletcher Unit profits from the 2002 popcorn sale exceeded $127,500 (plus prizes).
The top selling unit for 2002 was Pack 320 with $25,667 in sales, followed by Pack 216 with $24,282 in sales and Pack 218 with $24,088 in sales.
Our Troops were out there proving that the Popcorn Sale is not just for Cub Packs. Our top selling Troop 50, had $12,509 in sales, with Troop 202 very close with $12,085 in sales and Troop 200 not far behind with $9,895 in sales.
About 20 of our units participated in the Show N' Sell popcorn sale and they sold more than $111,000 worth of popcorn, an increase of $35,000 over last year.
Our District's top salesmen for the year was Jalan B. of Pack 253 who sold $2,305 worth of popcorn, followed by Ben T. of Troop 50 who sold $2,217 worth of popcorn.
Dan Beard District had 12 Scouts (we had 8 Scouts in 2001) selling more than $2000 worth of popcorn and 40 Scouts (we had 45 Scouts in 2001) selling more than $1000 worth of popcorn, more than any of the other 10 districts in the Occoneechee Council.
Our Occoneechee Council units sold a total of $1,661,513 worth of popcorn.
Our District, sold 25.6% of the total popcorn sold by all 11 of the districts in our council. That was an increase of .7% over last year's sale.

The top selling units for 2001 were Pack 218 (for the second year in a row) with more than $32,000.00 in sales, Pack 200 with more than $24,000.00 in sales and Pack 312 with more than $22,000.00 in sales.
Our Troops were out there proving that the Popcorn Sale is not just for Cub Packs. Our top selling Troop 200, had more than $7,900 in sales, with Troop 50 second with more than $7,600 in sales and Troop 202 not far behind with more than $7,500 in sales.
19 of our units participated in the Show N' Sell popcorn sale and they sold more than $76,000 worth of popcorn.
Our District's top salesman for the year was Chris F. of Pack 10 who sold $3,558 worth of popcorn.
Dan Beard District had eight Scouts selling more than $2000 worth of popcorn and forty-five Scouts selling more than $1000 worth of popcorn, more than any of the other 10 districts in the Occoneechee Council.
Our Occoneechee Council units sold a total of $1,478,526 worth of popcorn.
Our District, AGAIN, sold almost 1/4 (24.9%) of the total popcorn sold by all 11 of the districts in our council.
Let's see if we can do even better in our 2002 Popcorn Sale! (AND WE DID!).

The Dan Beard District's 50 participating units sold $344,135.00 worth of popcorn, an increase of more than $80,000.00 over the 1999 sale. The top selling units for 2000 were Pack 218 with more than $34,000.00 in sales, Pack 200 with more than $28,000.00 in sales and Pack 320 with more than $22,000.00 in sales. Our Troops were out there proving that the Popcorn Sale is not just for Cub Packs. Our top selling Troop 202, had $8,900 in sales, with Troop 397 not far behind with $7,600 in sales and Troop 253 with $6,500 in sales. 38 Scouts sold more than $1000.00 each worth of popcorn and our District had one of the top selling Scout's in the council. The council sold more than $1,335,000.00 worth of popcorn. Our District, AGAIN, sold MORE than 1/4 of the TOTAL POPCORN SOLD BY ALL 12 of the districts in the council.
