The Campout was held on March 26-28, 2004 at Camp McNeill. 932 Cubs and family members attended from 21 different Packs and the weather was perfect! The official registration totals were 185 Cubs, 239 Webelos, 458 adults and 50 siblings.

Here are some Pictures of the Cub Family Campout taken on Saturday, March 27, 2004.
Picture album is also shown under the PHOTOS site map heading.

Campout Chief's Report:

The Cub Family Campout was a big success! There may have been a few more than the 932 registered present. This years camp was totally run by BOY SCOUTS! A great big thanks goes out to Troop 320, Troop 75 and Troop 42.

Troop 320 covered the track and field events; Troop 75 was in charge of the team sports area and Troop 42 handled the agility area and the monkey bridge.

I also have to thank Keith Elder and Judy Ward for running the archery ranges. Alot of other people helped out too.

Betsy Gazda handled registration and Karen Stevens ran the Pixie Camp (which I think was a huge success).

My assistants were Sean Horn, who made the Olympic torch and kept the water stations full all day (and we really needed that as it was hot!) and David Smith and Tom Taylor, who handled the torch craft area and alot of other logistical things, like toilet plunging and emergency transportation.

Gene Lambert was the camp medic and Andrea Haddad was the camp nurse. Luckily, we only needed them a couple of times all weekend. We had one aggrevated sprained ankle and one case of over exhaustion (neither one very serious).

Lots of other leaders from my home Pack, Pack 320, helped out in other areas. Steve Lympany and John Lavere (from church), Don Gantt (awards platform), Jim McKenzie (toga torch runner) and probably the most important position, Bud Howard, the staff cook!

Thanks also to Dusty Fletcher for making the Olympic banner that was hanging at the camp entrance.

I'm sorry if I have left some people out that helped out in some way!

Without all these great volunteers the Cub Family Campout would not have been possible.

I hope everbody that attended had a good time.

THANKS TO ALL THAT HELPED!!
